The band Siva approached me to create renders for their music video "Stone to Sand". Little direction was given other than to create an abstract of a molecule entering, and interacting with, a human brain. I chose to break this idea into a simple three-act structure:

MOLECULE IS CREATED → MOLECULE ENTERS & INTERACTS WITH BRAIN → BRAIN CHANGES

Much of the texture and animation decisions were directly inspired by the tone of the song. Live-action footage of the band was later filmed to match the look of the renders, and the two will be intercut in the final music video.
